Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division has a requirement for the repair/upgrade of two EA-6B Prowler Aircraft?s ALQ-99 POD Universal Exciter Upgrade components, Lockheed Martin Corporation Missiles and Fire Control Part Numbers 459659-2 and 459525-1. The requirement will be negotiated on a sole-source basis with Lockheed Martin Corporation Missiles and Fire Control, Chelmsford, MA in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. All test benches, drawings, software and test procedures for the components are proprietary to Lockheed Martin. Delivery will be FoB destination, NSWC Crane Division, Crane, IN 47522. Initial inspection will be at source by a representative of DCMA; final inspection and acceptance will be at destination. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely wi thin the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
