Description: Solicitation is to provide all services associated with the operation of a consolidation facility for generators of low-level radioactive waste (LLRW) in the Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agencies. The consolidation facility shall ha ve the capability to provide; volume reduction, waste processing, repackaging, decontamination, recycle, technical assistance, inventory management, 24-hour emergency response service, temporary storage for a minimum of 12 months and brokerage services. O fferors must own and operate the facility, possess a Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), or equivalent Agreement State license (mimimum material limits will be stated in the RFP) and must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regul ations. It is the Government's intent to make up to three 5-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts, divided into three geographical regions as a result of this solicitation. This solicitation is being issued as unrestricted. Approximate issue date of the solicitation is 15 days from the date of this synopsis publication. Closing date will be 30 days from issue date.
