THIS IS NOT an Invitation for Bid (IFB), or Request for Proposals (RFP). The Government DOES NOT intend to pay for any information furnished pursuant to this RFI. MARCORSYSCOM is looking to improve its current technology in Non-Powered, Free Standing Liquid, Multi-Fuel Space Heaters that uses a fuel vaporizing R-tube burner technology which can heat a tented area up to a minimum of 650 square feet in adverse weather conditions and during the entire spectrum of military operations. The Heater must operate outside the tent with a thermostatic control and capable of burning multiple liquid fuels such as: JP-8, DF-1, DF-2, and DF-A. The Space Heater must weigh no more than 120lbs. Lighter systems are considered more advantageous to the Government. All interested sources are encouraged to submit three copies of related brochures, descriptions, product literature, references and any other pertinent information for the Government?s perusal to include business status (e.g., small business, small disadvantaged business, HUBZone, women-owned, etc.). In addition, all interested sources should submit as part of their response to this RFI, any and all test data and test reports which shows independent (preferably Government) evaluation of their Non-Powered, Free Standing Liquid, Multi-Fuel Space Heaters that meet or exceed the aforementioned requirements. Responses should include statements and independent test data that demonstrates how the product could satisfy the Government?s most desirable features. Electronic submissions are preferred. Interested sources should send all responses and capability statements via email to thomas.jacobs.ctr@usmc.mil.
