- Description
- The Bureau of the Census intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order utilizing simplified acquisition procedures (under FAR 13.5) to Solucient LLC for abstract medical records data on magnetic tape for 45 hospitals. The discharge dta required is uniform hospital discharge data set (UHDDS) data. The 48 hospitals specificall selected by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) staff are located throughout the U.S. and are clients of Solucient. Becuase of NCHS confidentiality requirements, the names of the individual hospitals connot be provided. This is not a request for competitive proposals; however, responses receved within 8 days from the posting of this notice will be reviewed and evaluated. Interested sources having the capability to provide the above services should submit their capability statement with cost information to pamela.a.miller@census.gov. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED. No purchase order will be awarded on the basis of offers received, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the Census Bureau.
