Description

This is a Notice of Intent to negotiate with only one source. The U.S. Government intends to acquire for the SNS 10.4 million doses of a licensed anthrax vaccine, with options for up to an additional 8.35 million doses. Currently there is only one manufacture who can supply FDA licensed anthrax vaccine: Emergent BioDefense Operations of Lansing, Michigan. The Government intends to enter sole source negotiations with Emergent BioDefense using the authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for proposal (RFP). The Government expects to make one award on or about 7/24/07. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract under full and open competition procedures based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this notice of intent by submitting a capability statement to Brian K. Goodger, Contracting Officer, at the mailing address below by 5/1/07. Comments to this announcement, referencing synopsis RFP-DHHS-OPHEMC-V&B-07-02 may be submitted to Brian K.
