Description
This is not a request for proposals. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) is in the process of conceptual development of a sensor suite and other improved mission avionics for Rotary Wing aircraft. As part of that effort, the USCG is interested in information related to equipping both the MH-60T and MH-65C helicopters with the latest generation Rotary Wing Radar Sensor System (RSS). Common Radar systems that can be installed on both the MH-65C and MH-60T helicopters are highly desired; however, manufacturers are encourage to submit information on more than one system as deemed appropriate. This request is for any applicable product literature, features, general specification, performance specifications, qualification, test date, model/part number, rough order of magnitude pricing, current applications, and availability. This notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or a Request for Proposal and is not a commitment by the United States Coast Guard to procure. The Government is only seeking information and possible sources for future needs, if and when they arise. No solicitation document exists at this time. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. Please respond with estimated cost for budgetary purposes for 45 systems with options for an additional 100 systems and spares.
