- Description
- The Department of Transportation (DOT), National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), intends to award a Contract for a period of 5 (five) years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is responsible for reducing the number of injuries and deaths on the highways resulting from vehicle crashes. In support of this mission, NHTSA is requiring the services for the effort entitled ?Media Support for the South Central Region?. The contractor is to provide communication support for the NHTSA South Central Region (namely the States of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Indian Nations) to support safety belt and impaired driving program efforts as well as priority highway safety programs. Under this contract, the contractor shall be responsible a year round regional communications plan which consists of traffic and enforcement statistics, market research, a strategic plan, and a tactical plan, calendar of activities, marketing-related materials (general and time specific regional specific resources) and communications assessment and reporting. The period of performance is for base year of twelve (12) months with two (2) two year options. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. IT IS PREFERRED FOR CONTRACTORS TO BE WITHIN THE AFOREMENTIONED REGION.
