- Sole Source Intent. The United States Army Contracting Agency Southern Region, Yuma Directorate, Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Instron Corporation, 825 Universit y Avenue, Norwood, MA 02062-2643. This action is solicited as unrestricted. The company is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Table Mounted 50KN Material Testing System. This item will support material testing and measurement capabilities fo r mission requirement and it must be of the same form, fit, and function with existing USAYPG 160K Universal Test Machine. The company holds propriety data rights to the hardware and software of the existing systems. This contract will be for the purchas e of CLIN 0001: Unit Issue: Each, Quantity: 1, Description: Table Mounted 50KN Material Testing System. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested perso ns may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you m ust respond by demonstrating your firms technical capability to meet these requirements by 26 April 2007, 8:00AM MST.
