Description

Sierra Army Depot intends to enter into a sole source contract with Protective Materials Company, 14040 N. W. 58th Court, Miami Lakes FL 33014, for the procurement of Helicopter Internal Handling System/Ballistic Protection System (HICHS/BPS) Interop erability Kit, Crew A and Crew B Ballistic Protection System for the CH-47D. These kits are required to allow for BPS to remain installed on the aircraft while using the HICHS to conduct internal cargo operations and to provide for additional BPS for the Crew Compartment of the CH-47D aircraft. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302 -1 (Note 22). Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Informa tion received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
