- Description
- The Carderock Division Naval Surface Warfare Center has a requirement to procure a Long Wave Infrared Camera LWIR. This type of technology is needed in order to collect data with a wider band coverage, higher thermal sensitivities, enhanced filtering capabilities, and higher frame rates. The Navy intends to award a firm fixed price contract for the LWIR Camera in accordance with the authority at FAR 13.5, Simplified Procedures for the Procurement of Certain Commerical Items. The Navy will issue a competitive solicitation containing the specifications for the LWIR Camera. The solicitation will be posted and can be downloaded from the "Governmentwide point of entry (GPE)" for posting of Government business opportunities greater than $25,000, including synopses of proposed contract actions, solicitations, and associated information, and subcontracting opportunity notices.
