- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR Part 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request of Quote solicitation number is M00318-07-T-0016. The provisions and clauses in the Request for Quotation RFQ are those in effect through FAC 2005-12. This procurement is unrestricted. The Regional Contracting Department, Marine Corps Base Hawaii intends on awarding a Firm-Fixed contract for: 0001 Ballistic Face Shield that attaches to helmet using existing holes (no drilling required). Rotational design allows face shield to be easily rotated into position and removed. Increases facial ballistic protection. No penetration at 1800 FPS for 17 grain FSP. No penetration at 1450 FPS for 9mm-124 grain (level IIIA velocity). Pro tection level consistent with ACH and LWH shell protection. Lightweight design (forward rotation can be reduced by adding a harness retention to the helmet. Compatible with spectacles and goggles. Color: Coyote Tan, Size: Large (17 each) and Size: Extra Large (18 each). Quantity: 35 each. FOB Destination. The government requires delivery to be made within 30 days. The NAICS and the small business standard for this procurement is 339999 and 500 employees respectively. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contracting Registration database and Wide Area WorkFlow-Receipt and Acceptance database to be eligible for a Department of Defense contract award. Quoters are encouraged to use the Standard Form 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items form found at http://www.gsa.gov/forms and submit a quotation. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Evaluation and award will be made to the responsible quoter submitting the low cost, technically accept able quotation. The quoter shall provide the information required in FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items. If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act--Supplies", the quoter shall state and list the country of origin, DFAR 252.212-7000--Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (NOV 1995), and DFAR 252.225-7035--Buy American Act-North American Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act-Balance of Payments Program Certificate (MAR 1998)-Alternate I (MAR 1998).
