Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Water (OW), Office of Wetlands, Oceans, and Watersheds (OWOW), Assessment and Watershed Protection Division (AWPD) has a requirement for certain types of support services. It is the EPA=s intent to make multiple awards from this one solicitation and compete subsequent task orders among the successful contractors. The EPA reserves the right to award contracts to as many as six offerors. These contracts will support AWPD's mission to aid States, Territories and authorized Tribes in developing methods to determine water quality, to identify impaired water bodies, and to advance the protection and restoration of the nation's watersheds and waterbodies through the use of point and nonpoint source pollution controls, water quality monitoring, and development of tools for ecosystem restoration. The successful contractors must be capable of providing technical support for Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) development and implementation. Major support activities will also include: (1) technical, logistical, and administrative support for water quality monitoring and assessments; (2) economic modeling, cost and benefit analysis; (3) development of technical guidance(s); and (4) technical, logistical and administrative support for workshops and training on water quality technical and monitoring components. The EPA anticipates award of up to six IDIQ contracts each with a five-year ordering period. The total number of required man hours is estimated to be 550,000 hours over the five-year ordering period. All responsible sources who submit a proposal will be considered for one of the awards by the EPA. Questions and suggestions may be e-mailed to makepeace.richard@epa.gov. All questions concerning this solicitation which are received at this email address will be posted, together with all corresponding answers, at this Internet address: http://www.epa.gov/oam/cinn_cmd . Solicitation PR-CI-07-10375, for related activities, will also be posted as a small business set-aside. It is anticipated that this RFP will be available by the end of May, 2007.
