- Description
- The U.S. Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB), intends to negotiate a competitive contract for the design and construction of a new Medium Wave (MW) transmitter building and related facilities at the IBB transmitting station in Kuwait. The Contractor shall be responsible for performing all necessary site work, including but not limited to: clearing and grading, installing utility connections, and constructing an access road, parking area, and fence around the new MW compound. The Contractor shall provide all skilled and unskilled labor, all of the required project management and engineering support, and all of the materials, supplies, tools, and equipment required to design and construct the new transmitter building and associated facilities to house the Government-furnished/Government-Installed (GF/GI) Harris DX-600 Medium Wave (MW) transmitter and related equipment. The Contractor shall also provide all documentation, transportation, shipping, and training required. The new building shall be designed to accommodate and provide conditioned space for the GF/GI transmitter system and related equipment. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notification or otherwise pay for information or inquiry.
