- Description
- The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) has requirement for electronic processing and fulfillment mailing in which letters and forms and newsletter mailing lists will be sent to the contractor electronically for printing, collating, and mailing. Mailings may require some manual insertion. The contractor will be required to produce from electronic receipt, letters forms and newsletters. PBGC will provide dedicated hardware and software that will allow for the operation of the eALG system at the contractor?s primary and at the secondary site. PBGC reserves the right to change or upgrade the PBGC supplied hardware or software as required. Contractor shall upgrade its system hardware and software to ensure compatibility with PBGC hardware and software. Contractor must collate letters and forms with brochures, and or folders, and magnets when necessary and mail them. The contractor's computer must be compatible with e-Automated Letter Generation (eALG) and successfully interface with PBGC supplied application hardware/software to print letters and forms on the contractor's high-speed printer for mailing. The contactor will have to supply paper, toner, outgoing and business reply envelopes in accordance with PBGC's specifications. Contractor will reproduce and stock items inserted in PBGC?s mailings. Contractor?s printer shall provide high quality laser, Duplex printing of letters and forms. The print resolution should be 600 dpi or greater for the letters and forms. Using contractor?s USPS Presort software, contractor prints addresses for letters with postnet bar codes and 2-d barcodes used for postal savings. Contractor?s printer/printers must be capable of printing 120,000 duplex letter/forms pages per 8 hour day. Mailing contents is sensitive and contractor must ensure the security of data in mailings. Mailings will have precise requirements for content of each envelope which the contractor must carry out exactly. PBGC will e-mail Daily reports of work to be processed. Contactor must notify COTR immediately if eALG application software does not agree with the daily work report data. Offeror is required to meet the following mandatories: 1) Request a cd from PBGC, and then print letters. Using your USPS postal savings software, addresses for letters must show postnet bar codes and 2-d barcode s used for postal savings. Print forms as well as the Q/A sheet and recipients list. 2) Acknowledge receipt of the eALG cd test file. 3) Must have high quality laser, Duplex printing of letters and forms with a resolution of 600 dpi or greater. Provide printout of the Q/A sheet and recipients lists. 4) Give the name, model number and manufacturer?s specifications of the printer. The printer or printers must be capable of printing 120,000 duplex letter/forms pages per 8 hour day. 5) Show how future enhancements to the eALG application such as inclusion of postnet barcodes, postcard printing in bulk, with unique personal addresses, and e-mail notifications to pension plan members, can be accommodated. The period of performance for the base year will be from October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008 and four (4) one year options for renewal at PBGC?s discretion. The solicitation document will be distributed through the FedBizOpps gov web site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure they have most up to date information about this acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation and any amendments will not be made available. The solicitation is not currently available, but estimated to be available on or about March 29, 2007.
