- The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) ) intends to procure of Brand Name or Equal to Beckman Coulter: (1) Multisizer 3 Particle & Cell Counter and Sizing Analyzer (6605697), software included; (2) Assembly, Pentium Pc (8321266); (3) Monitor, Computer, Flat Screen (8309965); (4) HP Color Inkjet Printer w/Cable (8304604); (5) Tube, Aperture, 1000UM, MS3 (8320525); (6) Tube, Aperture, 400UM, MS3 (8320523); (7) Pkg, Microspheres, 43 UM (6602800); (8) Isoton II 20L (8546719 and (9) Accuvette II ,200/Box (8320592). The above instrument must be covered by a minimum of a full one year warranty including parts, labor and travel commencing upon installation. The ?equal? item must meet the characteristics of the brand name item to be acceptable for award. The Multisizer 3 Coulter Counter provides accurate assessment of adipocyte cell size. The apparatus can count and determine cell size, monitor change in cell size in real time and calibrate automatically. The amount of adipocyte tissue required to complete the cell sizing is much less than needed by previous coulter counters. The counter also accommodates a wide range of cell size (from 0.4um to 1200 um) allowing use for a wide range of applications beyond intended use for adipocyte size. Basis for Award: Offerors must provide descriptive literature or other material that demonstrates their offer meets the forgoing requirements. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer fully meets the requirements of the solicitation, provides the best value, with price and technical factors equally important in award evaluation. This is not set aside for small business. Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to 301-480-4226 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that RFQ NIH-NIDDK-07-196 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis.
