- The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to procure the following new item and service: Brand Name or Equal to one (1) Consolidated Tower Model 2SSR-3A-MC (2) Vertically mounted steam heated 20? x 20?x 38? gravity air removal sterilizer chambers. Each chambers is independently controlled & piped with the following accessories: (1) Steromaster Mark V Microprocessor Controls with CRT Display and scaled keypad (2) Alphanumeric Impact Printer (3) Surge suppressor for controls (4) Emergency manual override (5) Internal pressure door lock (6) Automatic jacket blown down on fluid exhaust cycle (7) Automatic condensate exhaust with an automatic wastewater cooling system to reduce temperature of steam and condensate below 140 degrees F (8) ASME code stamping for the pressure vessel (U-1) with 15 year warranty (9) Stainless steel chamber, end ring, door and back head to be constructed of type 316L stainless steel, carbon steel jacket (10) Single door units with stainless steel cabinet mounting (11) Full length bottom shelf and upper shelf in two (2) sections removable (12) Hinged right side, fully opening, manual doors radial arm doors with solid silicone gaskets (13) Tower mount unit to be in single stainless steel cabinet (14) UL, cUL listed (15) Utility piping will be accessible from right side of unit and (16) To include the removal & disposal of old tower model sterilizer, installation of new tower model includes: set-in place, hook up to disconnects, test & demo to customer. The ?equal? item must meet the characteristics of the brand name item to be acceptable for award. Basis for Award: Offers must provide descriptive literature or other material that demonstrates their offer meets the forgoing requirements. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror who fully meets the requirements of the solicitation, provides the best value, with price and technical factors equally important in the award evaluation. PLEASE NOTE: In order to receive an award, contractor must be registered and have valid certification in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov). Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that the RFQ NIH-NICHD-07-225 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication of this synopsis.
