Description

The U.S. Department of State, Regional Procurement Support Office and the U. S. Embassy, Quito, are seeking qualified offerors for new construction and remodeling at the military base of Sansahuari, located in the Sucumbios Province of Ecuador. The project consists of the construction of approximately 720 square meters of office space and residential buildings. The buildings include troop barracks for 80 people, laundry, kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, offices, and pedestrian circulation areas. The project also includes an electrical system, a sewage and storm drainage system, and the design and construction of a potable water system. The solicitation is planned for release to qualified offerors on or about May 4, 2007, with contract award anticipated in June 2007. It is anticipated that construction will begin as soon as possible after contract award, with a performance period of approximately six months from contract execution to substantial completion. The resulting contract type will be firm-fixed price, and the estimated value of construction is between U.S. $250,000 and $400,000. In order to obtain the solicitation package, including drawings and specifications, offerors must forward their written requests by fax to Mr. Robert A. Lindquist at 954-630-1165, or by e-mail to LindquistRA@state.gov within ten days of publication of this advertisement. E-mail requests are preferred. Proposals will be accepted from both U.S. and non-U.S. firms.
