- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is not a solicitation announcement. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses sources interested and capable of performing the work. Your response shall include the following information: size of company, number of employees, annual revenue for last three years, relevant past performance on same/similar work dating back five years, and your company's capability to successfully accomplish this type of work. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Be advised a bid guarantee equal to 20% of the bid submitted will be required and made part of any solicitation. Payment and Performance Bonds equal to 100% of the contract award of any resulting contract will also be required. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax, and email (e) number of employees as defined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 19.101 and (e) the amount of annual receipts as defined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 19. In addition, the respondent must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a prime contractor for the work described below. Description: Correct Life Patient Deficiencies at Veterans Affairs Medical Center Battle Creek MI. The scope of work consists of: Replace the existing HVAC grills in the main Mental Health Building 39. Ductwork will be re-sized accordingly to compensate for the reduced air flow. In addition various fire protection sprinkler heads are showing signs of corrosion throughout the campus. Preliminary results indicate that this may be caused by improper installation. Correction of installation and replacement of heads (those found in need of replacement) required. The exterior stairwells attached to Buildings 83 and 84 have also deteriorated to the point that they have become unsafe. The project will replace these elevated stair structures with new, similar to those existing when the building was originally constructed. Magnitude of Construction: $500,000 to $1,000,000 Important Information: The Government will not pay nor reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. The Government will in no way be obligated to issue a solicitation or award a contract for the aforementioned work, and is providing this as information only. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Currently a total set-aside for Small Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms is anticipated. However, if response by Small Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms proves inadequate, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 236220 ($31 million). All eligible firms expressing interest in being considered for any resultant solicitation, provide the following information: Brief Description of the Company, Technical and Financial Capabilities, Business Size, DUNS number, Cage Code, and Tax ID Number along with the company and contact information listed in the opening paragraph. Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR located on the web at www.ccr.gov). It is desirable that any offeror to have completed their business Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
