Description
The DoD Joint Program Manager-DECON is conducting a market survey to determine if decontaminants are available that exceed the capabilities of DF-200, used in Joint Service Transportable Decontamination System-Small Scale (JSTDS-SS). The government needs a decontaminant with a reduced logistics footprint that meets the U.S. Army Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine (USACHPPM) civilian related chemical warfare agent exposure levels for chemical and biological defense. Please submit a w hite paper not exceeding three pages explaining the capabilities of the decontaminant, the process by which it decontaminates and levels of chemical and biological decontamination on various materials. Additionally, address the following questions: (1) Wha t are the mixing requirements/mixing time, if any? (2) What is the recommended application method for the decontaminant? (3) Specify which chemical and biological agents the decontaminant is effective against. (4) What environmental impacts are associated with use/disposal of the decontaminant? (5) Are there any storage/shipping restrictions associated with the decontaminant? (6) What is the shelf life? (7) Indicate whether or not test data is available and describe results briefly but do not submit test da ta at this time (a link to test data is desirable). (8) If available, please submit a copy of the decontaminants Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). The top 5 decontaminants will be selected for further review between now and July 2007. Please submit respo nses directly to Nicole Bauer at bauerdn@jpmoip.org; (703) 617-2475, by 11 May, 2007.
