- The US Army, JM & L LCMC Acquisition Center, Picatinny, NJ on behalf of the Army Office of the Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systems anticipates issuing a request for Proposal (RFP) for the manufacturing of mortar shell bodies on or about 14 May 2007 to support the 120mm Battalion M934A1/M933A1 High Explosive (HE), M931 Full Range Practice Round (FRPR), M929 Smoke and M983/M930 Illuminating Mortar Cartridge programs. The anticipated RFP will be a fixed price contract for a one year basic award quantity of 28,766 120mm M934A1/M933A1 High Explosive (HE) Shell Bodies, 57,132 120mm M931 Full Range Practice Shell Bodies (FRPR), and 3,120 120mm M983/M930 Illumination Shell Bodies with four evaluated/priced options for estimated quantities of: Option I- IV Up to 155,000 120mm M934A1/M933A1 HE Shell Bodies Up to 330,000 120mm M931 FRPR Shell Bodies Up to 75,000 120mm M930/M983 IR Shell Bodies Up to 17,000 120mm M929 Smoke Shell Bodies The Government plans on restricting this requirement to U.S. and Canadian sources in accordance with FAR 6.302-3(a)(2)(i). The Government reserves the right to make separate awards from this proposed RFP. A separate award may be made for the Illumination Programs only and another award may be made for the combined Smoke, FRP and HE Programs. Therefore, offerors may propose for the Illumination Programs; the combined Smoke, FRP and HE Programs; or both requirements but submitted as two separate proposals. The deadline for all proposals will be 30 days after issuance of the RFP. There is a technical data package which may be provided on CD-ROM to any interested offerors provided a Non-Disclosure Form is signed and on file.
