- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA intends to procure a quantity of one (1) Friction sensitivity tester, a Modified sensitivity tester and an Electrostatic sensitivity tester on a competitive firm fixed price basis. Delivery is FOB destination to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division China Lake, CA 120 days after award of the contract. A portion of the specifications include but are not limited to the following: 1) Friction Sensitivity Tester: Dimensions (in.): 32L X 72W X 62T (the apparatus is a tabletop device, sitting 30 inches above the top of the table.) Pendulum Drop Speed (fps): 3 to 8 Sliding Anvil Speed (fps) : <3 to 8 Power Input (VAC): 3 Phase 230V at 30A; 120V @ 60 Hz Applied Force (lb): 0 to 1000 (min) 2) Friction Wheels: Surface Finish (?∙in): Flat, 60 ? 10 (polished); finishing lines must run length-wise across the platen/anvils Note. Remove as little stock as possible. Material: 01-Tool Steel Rockwell Hardness: 90 HRB. 3) Friction Anvils/Platen: Surface Finish (?∙in): Flat, 60 ? 10 (polished); flat and perpendicular finish lines to 0.125 in dimensions. Note. Remove as little stock as possible. Material: Annealed 303/304 Stainless Steel Rockwell Hardness: 85 HRB. 4) Modified Impact Sensitivity Tester: Dimensions (in.): 14L x 19W x 88T, Impact Height (cm): 0 to 116, Drop Weight (kg): 2.0, Power Input (VAC): 120 @60 Hz, 5) Modified Impact Inserts: 6) Modified Impact Anvils: 7) Electrostatic Discharge Sensitivity Tester: Dimensions (in.): 39L x 28W x 19T, Energy Output (Joules): 0.01 to 37.5, Capacitor Range (mF): 0.00001 to 0.75, Voltage Output Range (VDC): 0 to 10,000, Power Input (VAC): 120 @60 Hz Supply Air Pressure Rating (psi): 10 to 100. The solicitation will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online Website at http://www.neco.navy.mil and the FEBBIZOPPS website at http://vsearch2.eps.gov/servlet/searchservlet on or about 4/30/07. The solicitation will close on or about 5/31/07. Award will be issued under the authority o f the test program for commercial items (FAR 13.5). All responsible sources must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at the following website: https://www.ccr.dlis.mil/ccr/scripts/index.html. All responsible sources may submit a quotation that will be considered by the agency. Responses must include all information requested in the written Request for Quotation (RFQ). Evaluation for the award will consider price and other factors including technical capability.
