- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. You may also access information on the NSWC Crane Division web site at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm NSWC Crane requirement is for a minimum of 60 each and a maximum of 2000 each Aviation Night Vision Goggle, MODEL F4949R-VG, and a CLIN for Provisioning Items NTE $500,000. The Navy intends to award a contract to ITT Night Vision, 7635 Plantation Drive, Roanoke, VA on a sole-source basis, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1; i.e., only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. FOB Destination, Inspection at source, UID labeling required. Delivery lead time is 50 each within 120 days of effective date of order, to continue at a rate of 50 each every 30 days thereafter until complete. The solicitation will be posted on the NSWC Crane website at www.crane.navy.mil; no hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. The solicitation is expected to be posted on or about 8 MAY 2007. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FA R 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
