Description

SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS (Not a Notice of Solicitation) The Information Technology Branch (ASC/PKWIE), is conducting market research to determine potential sources to provide support for Logistics Information System Development and Maintenance Support for Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command Logistics Support Office (HQAFMC/LSO). This contractor develops and sustains Web-based Logistics Tools for information processing and analysis in support of military logistics operations; provides System Administration for database servers, provides Logistics Response Time Analysis, Cargo Metrics, and SDT Financial Execution Metrics and Analysis. The scope of this performance encompasses the following: analysis of the logistics information systems and transportation processes supporting the movement of cargo; providing technical recommendation for improving and enhancing velocity, throughput, and cost effectiveness of the logistic pipeline through use of information systems; creation and maintenance of web-enable shipping and packing tools; creation and maintenance of LSO web sites and AF portal content; administration of LOL and LOT web servers; creation and maintenance of web enabled budget analysis and Third Party Billing payment processing tools. These tools will be used for analysis of transportation expenditures data, to identify policy violations and recover unauthorized expenditure of the LSO managed Second Destination Transportation (SDT) Centrally Managed Allotment (CMA). A Proposed Draft Performance Work Statement is attached to provide respondents a better understanding of the Air Force?s needs and the respondent?s potential ability to meet the government?s requirements. The Air Force anticipates utilizing an existing contract vehicle for this award. The Period of Performance for this effort is expected to be one base year with One one-year option period. The Air Force reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside based upon responses hereto. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Air Force does not intend to award a contract/order on the basis of this sources sought synopsis or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Respondents should not construe this synopsis as a commitment by the Air Force for any purpose.
