Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Great Lakes Region has a requirement for the replacement of localizer building, antenna, and transformer for Runway 7 at Toledo Express Airport, Swanton, Ohio. SCOPE OF WORK: This specification covers the requirements to remove the existing 14 element antenna array and install a new, government furnished, 14 element antenna array for the runway 7 localizer facility at Toledo Express Airport, Toledo, Ohio. The work consists of, but is not limited to, the following: 1. The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, energy, transportation, and other services necessary to replace existing antenna array, distribution box and related components of the runway 7 localizer facility, with a new, government furnished, antenna array, distribution box and related components as noted in this specification, the project drawings, and other contract documents. 2. The contractor shall carefully disassemble and remove the existing antenna array, distribution box and related components from the existing structural steel support frame. 3. The contractor shall modify and paint the existing structural steel support frame as noted in this specification, and as shown on the project drawings. 4. The contractor shall transport the new, government furnished, localizer antenna array, distribution box and related components from a storage building, located on the airport, to the runway 7 localizer antenna facility site. 5. The contractor shall install the new, government furnished, localizer antenna array, distribution box and related components on the existing structural steel support frame as noted in this specification, the project drawings, and other contract documents. 6. The contractor shall provide and install four (4) new ??" heliax type (#LDF4-50A) COAX cables and one (1) new 12 pair #19 control cable into the existing 4 inch schedule 40 PVC conduit between the R/W 7 localizer antenna array and the R/W 7 localizer equipment building. 7. The contractor shall provide and install three (3) new 1/C #8 type U.S.E. power cables and one (1) new #2 bare copper ground cable into the existing 2 inch schedule 40 PVC conduit between the R/W 7 localizer antenna array and the R/W 7 localizer equipment building. 8. The contractor shall connect all associated cables to the new localizer antenna array and shall fully restore the localizer facility to service. 9. The contractor shall provide and install five (5) localizer check point markers as shown on the project drawings. 10. The contractor shall carefully pack the disassembled old antenna array, distribution box and related components into shipping containers constructed of 2x4 lumber and CDX plywood and fully prepare all of the old antenna array components for shipping. NAICS Code is 238210. The work will be performed in strict accordance with the specifications and contract provisions under the subject contract. Award of a firm-fixed-price contract is being contemplated to a responsible offeror who submits the responsive offer for this requirement.
