Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to procure one (1) each of the following new items: Brand Name or Equal to: (1) Fianium Laser Source, Model SC450-2; (2) Acousto-Optical Tunable Filter (AOTF) Unit and (3) Extended two (2) year warranty. The SC450-2 is a unique optical supercontinuum system based on a mode-locked fiber laser, which generates 10 ps pulses at repetition rate of 20 MHz. The required technical specifications (to include the statement above) are: (1) Output Power (W) =2; (2) Spectral Range (nm) = 460-2500 (minimum wavelength is typically 450-455 nm); (3) Repetition Rate (MHz) = 20; (4) Spectral Power density (mW/nm) = >1.5; (5) Timing Jitter = <ps; (6) Fundamental Pulsewidth (ps) = <10; (7) Pulse-to-pulse stability = <1% (measured in 460-1000 nm spectral range); (8) Spectral Flatness (dB) = <6; (9) Output Beam Quality (M^2) = <1.2; (10) Output optic = Free space Collimated; (11) Operating temperature range = 15-30C; (12) Power Consumption (W) = <100; (13) Dimension (WxLxD mm) = 300*250*120 and (14) Weight (kg) = 12. The ?equal? item must meet the characteristics of the brand name item to be acceptable for award. Basis for Award: Offers must provide descriptive literature or other material that demonstrates their offer meets the forgoing requirements. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose fully meets the requirements of the solicitation, provides the best value, with price and technical factors equally important in the award evaluation. PLEASE NOTE: In order to receive an award, contractor must be registered and have valid certification in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov). Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that the RFQ NIH-NICHD-07-227 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication of this synopsis.
