Description
RFQ VA263-07-RQ-0029 Opens: 4/26/2007 RFQ Due: 5/14/2007 The Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office, St. Paul, MN is seeking extended stay type lodging rooms for VARO sanctioned training of Government employees for the period June 6, 2007 through June 29, 2007. Expected number rooms needed: 22 to 24. Government per diem rate or better. Hotel to be an extended stay type facility with desk/work area (high speed internet access at no cost); cooking/stovetop equipment and refrigerator and microwave; dishes and utensils, etc. available to travelers in room. Facility must be FEMA approved. Check-in date for up to 3 instructors is 06-06-07, check-in date for students is 06-10-07, check-out date for all travelers is 06-29-07. A rooming list will be provided to the awarded facility by May 30, 2007. Hotel will impose no penalty for rooms not used based on estimate. Rooming list will be used for exact number. Centralized billing to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for hotel room charges. Non-room incidental expenses will be paid for by travelers. Hotel selected must shuttle VA group from hotel to VA Regional Office, Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building, Fort Snelling, daily, morning and afternoon in one trip. Exact times will be covered after contract award. Transportation must be included at no cost to VARO. Class anticipated start 7:45 a.m., end 4:30 p.m. Facility must be 12 miles or less from the VA Regional Office at Fort Snelling, MN. Request facility awarded provide no cost snacks/appetizers for ice breaker welcome meeting on Sunday 06-10-07, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at property site. Amenities: Exercise/recreation facility on site at no cost. On site coin operated laundry. Eating establishments on site or within easy walking distance. Grocery shopping available (easy walking distance or by comp. shuttle) After hours cardkey access for exterior doors. No cost hotel shuttle to/from airport, Mall Of America, other venues, etc. No cost parking lot on site. Offers will be evaluated on how well the hotel meets the criteria above. Interested facilities should provide may provide their response on their letterhead, other suitable document, or may request copies of the SF 18 form that the Government has prepared. Quotations are to be submitted not later than May 14, 2007 at 4:30 pm. Electronic submittals WILL be accepted. NIACS 721110 and $6.5M applies.
