- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a non-competitive basis with Hydraulics International, Inc. (HII), Chatsworth, CA. The Government intends to procure spare parts to provide interim support for the Diesel Hydraulic Power Supplies (DHPS), P/N 040489-100, the Electric Hydraulic Power Supplies (EHPS), P/N 040499-100, and the Hydraulic Fluid Purifiers (HFP), P/N 040505-100 under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, as HII is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and sole source designer and manufacturer of the DHPS, EHPS, and HFP. The HPS units are used to provide system, sub-system, or component fault isolation, trouble shooting, and functional testing for aircraft maintenance on land or aboard ship, and the HFP unit is used to recondition contaminated hydraulic power supplies and test stands. HII is currently under contract with the U.S. Navy to develop and produce the HPS and HFP units. As the technical and logistics data is still being developed by HII, the Government does not currently possess all of the data, and therefore, HII is the only source who can accomplish the requirement by the initial operation capability date, as HII is the only source able to identify and provide the required spares. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
