Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a Bending Machine prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested for required items under PRN6889870449218 and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is an unrestricted procurement. The Standard Industrial Classification is 3542 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The contract will be awarded using acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. FISC Jacksonville intends to award a firm fixed price contract for following: Contractor shall provide complete specifications and data package for each of the components and tooling within the system to sufficiently meet the minimum requirements. A bending machine with a capacity, schedule 80 IPS, piping of various size from a 1/4 inch to 4 inches Nominal IPS Diameter; Bending moment 150,000 IN-lbs; Must be able to bend 200-300 class copper, copper nickel, mild carbon steel and 300 class stainless steel. No size limitation of machine but must be able to occupy floor space area of 8'x 6'. Also, capable of making 90 to 180 degree manual bends for 3-4 inches, complete with combination brake motor and right angle gear drive; Non-hydraulic machine preferred but hydralic driven is acceptable; limit switch controlled for semi-automatic and duplicate bending, with bending dies that cover the ranges of 3-4 inch bending. A bender with the capacity of 4 inch pipe size, with a bend radius of 3D and 5D. The anticipated longest length of pipe to bend is eight feet. All required 3D and 5D tooling shall be included and is desired for all standard pipe sizes from 1/4 to 4 inches in schedule 40 and 80. The maximum centerline radius of 3x and 5x diameter of piping being bent The contractor shall be prepared to provide demonstration of equipment if requested. Contractor site visits of NPTU are available upon request. Delivery will be made to Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit, 1260 Snow Pointe Road, Goose Creek, SC 29445-8612. Inspection and acceptance to ensure items are in accordance with manufacturer specifications will be performed at destination. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered.
