- Amendment 0001: This amendment is issued to extend the close date from April 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. MST to May 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. MST. This amendment also is to answer questions which were submitted. See below. Q1. Will the government retain possession of the CFC refrigerant in the current refrigeration systems? a. If the government keeps the refrigerant, will they provide the necessary storage cylinders? A1. No. a. Not applicable. Q2. Will the government retain possession of the current refrigeration equipment? A2. No. Q3. Would the government prefer air cooled or water cooled refrigerant condensers? A3. The Government prefers air cooled refrigerant condensers. Q4.Will the government supply lifting equipment for removing and replacing equipment skids. A4. Yes. Q5. What is to be done with metal and other scrap removed from the site? a. If we are to dispose of equipment and scrap, is there a disposal site on post? A5. All material removed from the site is to be disposed of off of the installation by the contractor. Q6. The current equipment is installed on asphalt pavement. Does the government wish to install new equipment on concrete pads? A6. Concrete (reinforced if required). Q7. Is an automatic defrosting system required on the Low Temperature dual evaporator system? A7. Not critical. This type of system may be rarely used. Q8. Is being able to operate the mechanical equipment from either the control room or the equipment skid desirable? A8. Yes. Q9. Will there be continuous access to the site? a. If not, what are the hours that the site will be available? A9. Yes. a. Arrangement will have to be made for work to be performed outside normal operating hours. Q10. How many channels are required for air quality monitoring? a. What are the signals for each channel? A10. Design for (6) each channels minimum and 0-5 Vdc proportional to full scale concentrations. Q11. Would an alternate delivery schedule be acceptable? A11. Any delivery schedule outside of what is contained in the combined synopsis/solicitation and specification may be considered. Q12. Will there be provisions in the contract for progress billing? a. If so, what will these terms be? A12. Yes. A Payments shall be made for items/services that have been delivered and accepted by the Government.
