- DESCRIPTION: THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS-AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. THIS SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED USING SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-16. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516. This acquisition is being procured using full and open competition. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for one Optical Table, one breadboard, and one set of four Isolators. LINE ITEM 0001: Quantity one (1) each Optical Table, meeting all of the following required minimum specifications: 1. Dimensions: Length: 3600 mm plus/minus 100 mm, Width: 1500 mm plus/minus 50 mm, Thickness: 450 mm plus/minus 50 mm; 2. Working surface must be ferromagnetic stainless steel with a minimum thickness of 4.8 mm (3/16 inch) with 1/4 inch ? 20 standard thread mounting holes on a 1 inch grid; 3. Surface flatness must equal 0.3 mm (total range) or lower over any area of 600 mm by 600 mm squared; 4. Static compliance at center must be 1e-6 mm/N or lower; 5. Lowest resonant frequency must be 110 Hz or higher; 6. Dynamic deflection coefficient must be 8e-4 or lower. LINE ITEM 0002: Quantity one (1) set of (4) Pneumatic Passive Isolators (legs) for LINE ITEM 0001, meeting all of the following required minimum specifications: 1. Must have automatic leveling; 2. Height from floor to table top surface must be 950 mm plus/minus 50 mm; 3. Re-leveling error must be 0.4 mm (half the range) or smaller; 4. Vertical resonant frequency must be 1.2 Hz or smaller; 5. Horizontal resonant frequency must be 1.5 Hz or smaller; 6. Vertical isolation efficiency at 5 Hz must be 92 percent or higher; 7. Vertical isolation efficiency at 10 Hz must be 98 percent or higher; 8. Horizontal isolation efficiency at 5 Hz must be 85 percent or higher; 9. Horizontal isolation efficiency at 10 Hz must be 95 percent or higher; LINE ITEM 0003: Quantity one (1) Optical Breadboard, meeting all of the following required minimum specifications: 1. Dimensions: Length: 600 mm plus/minus 50 mm, Width: 600 mm plus/minus 50 mm, Thickness: 100 mm plus/minus 10 mm; 2. Working surface must be ferromagnetic stainless steel with a minimum thickness of 4.8 mm (3/16 in) with 1/4 inch ? 20 standard thread mounting holes on a 1 inch grid. Delivery terms shall be FOB Destination. FOB Destination means the contractor shall pack and mark the shipment in conformance with carrier requirements, deliver the shipment in good order and condition to the point of delivery specified in the purchase order, be responsible for loss of and/or damage to the goods occurring before receipt and acceptance of the shipment by the consignee at the delivery point specified in the purchase order; and pay all charges to the specified point of delivery. Delivery shall be completed within 7 weeks after receipt of order. Award shall be made to the quoter who meets all required technical specifications as determined by a review of documentation submitted in accordance with this solicitation and quotes the lowest price. Evaluation of Technical Capability shall be based on the information provided in the quotation. Quoters shall include the manufacturer or brand name, make and model of the product, manufacturer sales literature or other product literature which addresses all minimum specifications and clearly documents that the offered product meets the specifications stated above. Offerors shall ensure the RFQ number is visible on the outermost packaging. Submission must be received by 3:30 pm local time on May 09, 2007. FAX AND EMAIL QUOTES SHALL BE ACCEPTED.
