- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Marine Facility, Santa Cruz, CA is interested in chartering a seaworthy vessel for a minimum of 15 days and a maximum of 20 days including 1 - 2 days to mobilize and one day to demobilize, between 06/26/2007 and 07/15/2007. The purpose of the charter is for seafloor mapping, sub-bottom profiling, and towed camera work. The vessel must be able to accommodate four to six USGS personnel for daytime work only (12 hour days). Boat operator's license and proof of insurance are required. Vessel shall be fully licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard as required by law and shall have passed all appropriate U.S. Coast Guard requirements for safety and seaworthiness. Contractor will provide name and detailed description of vessel and a vessel survey with quote. Captain must have 3 years experience. It is anticipated that an RFQ will be issued and posted to this site on or about May 3, 2007 with quotes due on or about May 14, 2007. All responsible small businesses may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. Potential Small Business Contractors may contact the Contracting Officer by email at vfriesner@usgs.gov .
