A solution delivery system is necessary to analyze kinetic parameters of acetylcholine receptors from transgenic zebrafish in the lab. A solution delivery system is used in conjunction with a patch clamp amplifier. A cell expressing acetylcholine receptors is exposed to different solutions containing different chemicals under whole cell patch clamp. The switching between solutions need to be done on a millisecond scale, because the kinetics of acetylcholine receptors are on orders of milliseconds. In the Dynaflow system, millisecond switching can be performed between up to 48 different reagents for reading of responses in one single cell. This allows for collection of high-resolution kinetic data. This type of delivery system is not available with any other system that is commercially available. PLEASE NOTE: In order to receive an award, contractor must be registered and have valid certification in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov).
