- The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has a requirement for full aviation support services in support of the Aviation Division located in Fort Worth, TX. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 17, 2007, and issued solely through the DEA's acquisition website at http://www.usdoj/gov/dea/. Click on Acquisitions, then Open Solicitations. Hardcopies of the RFP will not be available. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and any amendments. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this website for the release of the solicitation and any amendments. NO TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. The proposed contract period of performance will be from January 1, 2008 thru December 31, 2008 with four one-year option periods. The type of services to be provided are aircraft maintenance, pilot training, operational support including pilot and observer services, aircraft leasing, and the associated program management and administrative support to sustain the DEA aircraft fleet in a safe, reliable, and fully mission-capable condition. The DEA assets include a variety of commercial fixed and rotor wing, single and multi-engine, piston, turbine, and jet aircraft. Security background investigations will be required for contractor personnel. Proposals will be evaluated and selection made based on "best value" criteria, which may include technical approach, quality control plan, transition plan, and past performance. A draft RFP is anticipated to be posted on or about May 2, 2007. Comments will be taken into consideration and incorporated in the final RFP, where appropriate. Comments will be accepted until May 10,2007 and may be sent via e-mail to the Contracting Officer in this announcement. A pre-proposal site visit will be scheduled; the exact date and time will be specified in the RFP, although it is currently anticipated to take place May 30, 2007.
