- The VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS), Baltimore, MD anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Lobby Expansion Construction Project for the Baltimore VA Hospital located at 10 N. Greene Street on or about 15 May 2007, Solicitation Number: VA-245-07-RP-0037. DESCRIPTION:   Renovation and construction of the existing 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors of the VA Hospital in Baltimore, MD. This will be an expansion of floor space into the atrium space above the lobby area. There is significant structural steel in the existing infrastructure that will require heavy equipment and expertise. Hospital lobby area will remain open for business during these renovations.  A site visit is planned for 31 May 2007. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The Government is planning for a full and open competition resulting in a planned firm-fixed price contract. The request for proposal will be posted in May 2007, with award planned before September 30, 2007.
