- This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for Tyndall AFB for the following commercial items: 102in Wide Body, Interior Height 6 ft 6inch, Interior Width 96in, 82 inch Between Wheel Wells, 1 Piece Seamless Aluminum Roof, Sidewalls 1 inch x 1 1/2 inch Steel Box with Dust Shield, 6 inch I-Beam, 16 inch on Center Floor & Walls, 24 inch on Center Ceiling, Walls: White Vinyl, Ceiling: Lined with White Vinyl, 3/4 inch Plywood Floor w/ Darco Moisture Barrier, 36 inch Tongue Ramp Door: (91 inch x 78 inch) Spring Assist w/ 16 inch Flap, Cambars with 2 Grab Handles, Brite Anodized Corners, .030 Exterior Aluminum Siding, 48 inch Side Door w/ Cambars, Aluminum Frame & Piano Hinge, Dexter E-Z Lube Torsion Axles, 15 inch Raidal Tires w/ Silver Mod Rims, Tear Drop Aluminum Fenders, Ramp Door Wrapped w/ Mill Finish, Aluminum All Wheel Electric Brakes, Breakaway Kit, 2-12V Lights w/ Switch, Three Year Warranty In reviewing the above specifications, the following questions/comments arose: 1. What length trailer do you need? 18 feet 2. Will you need insulation? Yes 3. You state you need a front ramp. Is this trailer to be a V-Nose? Or is the ramp to be on the front side? In addition, the ramp dimensions state 36? and 91? x 78? please clarify. Ramp door should be in the rear of the trailer, 91? X 78? with spring assist 4. If possible, I would re-consider a piano hinge on the side door. The hinge pins are quite small and the hinges are metal to metal. A larger strap hinge gives excellent support and the hinge pins ride on bushings. Without bushings, the pins must be lubed with oil which attracts dust. Strap hinge is acceptable 5. Does you customer require any components such as: ? Air conditioning? Yes 13,500 btu minimum ? Floor tie downs? Yes 4 D rings ? Cabinetry? No cabinetry ? 110V outlets? 3 standard outlets, 1 GFI outlet with 50 amp circuit breaker panel ? Exterior lighting? Only the standard tail lights with vehicle hookups We also require the following: Interior overhead lights 7 KW Onan generator w 16 gal fuel tank External 110 V power connection in the event we have commercial power available for our use. Roof vent This synopsis and solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 423830 applies to this procurement. The small business size standard is: 100 employees. This procurement is being issued as 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.
