Description

The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Quotation for a firm fixed-price purchase order for furnishing, installation and testing of a projection system and associated equipment. Install one system (projection system and associated equipment) for the RD Conference Room. A Statement of Objectives is listed below. 1) Create a reliable system by replacing wireless (infrared devices) with hard wired or RS-232 controlled devices. 2) Add a DVD drive. 3) Remove the CD and cassette tape devices. 4) Package the system in an aesthetically pleasing cabinet that locks the programmable equipment, but allows for access to the DVD, VHS and computer. 5) Update the projection system to High Definition (preferably to a technology that doesn't require low lighting. 6) Re-program or replace the touch panel control for ease of use. (Remove the preset lighting and unnecessary controls). 7) Remove the preset lighting panels and place lights on traditional dimmer switches. 8) Leave the phone conference portion of the system. 9) Replace the cable TV box with a hardwired HDTV box. 10) Install a remote USB port and video port on the wall near system (so that USB drives or a laptop can be plugged next to the touch panel). The NAICS Code is: 423410. This procurement is set-aside for Small Business concerns only. Solicitation 07SQ200134 will be posted to http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about May 2, 2007. The date for receipt of proposals will be approximately May 30, 2007. The solicitation must be downloaded at the above website; no paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov to be eligible for award.
