Description
This sources sought is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) webpage located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. There is not a Solicitation package available. This is a repeat announcement. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division is seeking sources that may be capable of executing a build-to-print process which will produce an equivalent mission critical navy shipboard display console. This is to be accomplished by utilizing the Technical Data Package for an AN/UYQ-70(V) variant (AEGIS CR1 Console Assembly, C&D Water Cooled, Part Number AEGCR1CND A1-00) and will require the procurement/manufacture and assembly of all necessary hardware. The hardware would include, but is not limited to: the enclosure, displays, keyboard, trackball, touch panels, media devices, power supplies, I/O panels, heat exchanger, fans, VME cages, isolation system, switches, sensors, alarms, cables and connectors. The intent would be to conduct a verification/validation of the Technical Data Package by producing a single unit from the build-to-print process. Additionally, information that is lacking or incorrect in the Technical Data Package would be identified during the build-to-print process. Modifications which reflect the required changes would be incorporated into the Technical Data Package and continuation of the build-to-print would proceed until the process produces a completed equivalent display console. All interested parties should respond with information on the experience, resources and facilities that would justify the sources qualifications to perform this task. Small Businesses are strongly e ncouraged to participate. If you submit proprietary data, please mark it clearly with the appropriate markings. All sources responses with regards to information on experience, resources and facilities that would justify their qualifications to perform this task must be in writing before 16 May 2007 to DLGR_NSWC_XDS12@navy.mil. All information must be submitted electronically. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. If you previously responded to this source sought you need not resubmit. No further information is available at this point in time. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. This sources sought does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, nor a Request for Quotations, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited.
