- Description
- The U.S. Air Force is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for all HUBZone small business concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small business concerns ( SDVOSB) or for Small Businesses. The NAICS Code is 517910. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The acquisition is for the renewal of TX2-Support for 17 Blackberry Enterprise Servers and 2094 Blackberry handhelds. With T-2 support, ACC receives software upgrades and telephone support. Contract period of performance is approximately 1 jun 07 through 31 May 08. Renewal package will be shipped to LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, VA for distribution, and have a REQUIRED DELIVERY DATE OF 5 DAYS FROM AWARD OF CONTRACT. At the present time, this acquisition is expected to be issued as a Small Business set aside. However, in accordance with FAR 19.1305, if your firm is HUBZone certified or FAR 19.1404, or if you firm is SDVOSB and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail to: Susan.Baldwin@langley.af.mil or by fax (757) 225-7765. Questions may be referred to Susan Baldwin at (757) 225-7714. Contractors are reminded that should this acquisition become a HUBZone small business, SDVOSB Small Business or Small Business set aside, FAR 52.219-3, Notice of Total HUBZone Set-Aside, or 52.219-27, Notice of Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside or 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside will apply, which requires that at least fifty (50) percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance be spent for employees of the concern or employees of other HUBZone/SDVOSB/Small Business concerns. Your response is required by the close of business on MAY 7, 2007/1700 EST. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on a HUBZone or Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business set aside. Failure to submit all information requested may result in a small business set-aside. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a HUBZone or SDVOSB small business set aside, or a Small Business set aside, will be posted on the FedBizOps website at: http://www.fbo.gov.
