The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about May 18, 2007. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL INQUIRIES REGARDING THE SOLICITATION UNTIL IT HAS BEEN POSTED. The National Park Service - (NPS) Weir Farm NHS (WEFA) proposes to conduct major rehabilitative work at WEFA on the Weir Farm House, the Weir Studio and the Young Studio. This work will involve earth disturbing activities in several places on the property. The scope of work describes an archeological investigation to be performed in support of this project, with particular reference to NHPA Section 106. The purpose of the archeological investigation is to determine if National Register-eligible archaeological resources are present within particular locations within the Area of Potential Effect (APE). Ground disturbing activities within the APE include the construction of utility trenches (water, electrical, security, heat, fire suppression) and the construction of ground flashing, cement pads and a new well. Detailed scope of work and specifications regarding this project will be attached to Solicitation Number Q195307003. Estimated price range is between $50,000 and $100,000. Contractor awarded this contract must be listed on the Central Contractor Registration database (www.ccr.gov) THIS WILL BE A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE NAICS CODE: 712120 SIZE STANDARD: $6.5M
