- This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. Market Research: The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWCCD) is conducting a market research to determine the commercial availability in the FY08 timeframe of 30mm X 173 Target Practice Discarding Sabot with Tracer ammunition. This ammunition should be compatible with the 30mm MK 44 Automatic Gun and match the exterior ballistic performance of the 30mm X 173 APFSDS-T ammunition to tactical ranges with a surface danger zone of less than 8 kilometers. The NSWCCD point of contact is Mr. John Pfender. The closing date of this request is 4 June 2007. Companies with ammunition in production that would be available in the timeframe noted above should provide design characteristics and performance data to: Naval Surface Warfare Center; Attn: Thomas Harkins, G32; 6096 Tisdale Rd, Suite 117; Dahlgren, VA 22448 No solicitation exists at this time. All information marked as proprietary information will be safeguarded to prevent disclosures to non-government personnel and entities.
