- This is the second modification to this synopsis/solicitation. This change eliminates the following requirement: i. Be painted with epoxy paint on the inside and enamel paint on the outside, and extends the quote due date from 9 May 2007 to 11 May 2007. The full description is: Provide six grain (feed) bins, to the USDA, U.S. Sheep Experiment Station, Mud Lake Feedlot, in accordance with the following specifications: (a) Wheatland Bin, Model WB1517 Hopper Bottom Bin or equal. (b) Minimum of 3000-bushel and a maximum of 3500-bushel capacity. (c) Minimum 40-degree slope cone bottom. (d) Maximum of a 15 ft. diameter (OD). (e) Not exceed 32 ft. above pad level. (f) Minimum of 8 support legs that will be bolted directly to the cement. (g) Is smooth wall, all welded fully weatherproof steel gauge must meet weight loads. (h) Have powder coated paint finish both inside and outside. (i) The four south bins will have a 6 inch auger (with boot) extending out 10 ft. from bin, 14 ft. off the ground, with a 2 ft. drop shoot extension. The two north bins will have an 8 inch auger mounted. See diagram No. 4. (j) Have an outside ladder with a safety cage attached reaching to the top lid. (k) A round manhole located near the top of the ladder. (l) A round manhole located near the bottom of the cone of the bin. (m) A 20 inch minimum-loading hole on the top of the bin. (n) A 22 inch spring-loaded remote lid opener. (o) An 8-inch pail chute located 24 inches above the bottom gate. (p) The bottom gate is a Rack and Pinion slide gate with nylon corrosion proof rollers. (q) Air operated anti-bridging devices will be mounted inside of the bin. Final delivery shall occur no later than 90 days after award. The clauses, 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4 and 52.12-5 are incorporated into this synopsis/solicitation.
