- National Cancer Institute (NCI) plans to procure custom-made peptides, on a sole source basis with NeoMPS, Inc., 9395 Cabot Drive; San Diego, California regarding Protocol P7119, pilot trial of multivalent VEGFR2 peptide vaccine in adult patients. The supplies and services herein are being procured in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized by FAR Part 13.106. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 325414 and the business size standard is 500 employees. The purpose of the requirement is to procure custom made VEGFR2 peptides for use in human cancer patients and the peptides are required for this protocol. The VEGFR2 peptides are made under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for human use. NeoMPS, Inc. is the only source known to the NCI that can provide the custom made VEGFR2 peptides under GMP for continuity of the on-going clinical trial. Changing variables at this time will be detrimental to the patients involved, as well as the current research in progress. This is not a request for competitive quotation. However, if any interested party believes it can perform the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities and any other furnished information must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow NCI to determine if the party can perform this requirement. Capability statements must be received in the contracting office by 1:00 PM ET May 18, 2007. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No collect calls will be accepted. In order to receive an award, contractors must be registered and have valid certification in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
