Description
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Air and Marine program operates approximately 200 specially equipped aircraft from 20 separate locations to provide homeland air sovereignty by interdicting persons and contraband attempting to enter the United States of America illegally. The crewmembers of these aircraft require initial and optional recurrent courses of instruction in surviving an aircraft accident and staying alive until rescue personnel can arrive. CBP has a requirement to procure the required classroom training and practical field training instruction for U.S. Government personnel in the concepts of survival techniques. The training shall consist of initial training and recurrent training. Initial training is defined as a thorough, in-depth, detailed, course of instruction on survival techniques to CBP enforcement personnel who are receiving the course from CBP for the first time. The course of instruction shall consist of classroom lecture and practical exercises in the pool and field training areas. Recurrent PASS training is defined as an optional course of instruction designed as a review of the Initial PASS training course and may include specialized training for specific operating locations or aircraft types. Some types of training anticipated are: aircraft cockpit fire and smoke management, emergency egress training and water survival, land survival, field emergency medical training, first aid and principles of terrorism. All interested vendors shall use the Interested Vendors List Module.
