- The purpose of this Request for Quotations and any resultant BPA is to obtain the servies of qualified personnel with extensive background in incident management, specifically the Logistics section and an ability to train and mentor personnel in an incident training environment. During the fire season the vendors will be placed on a Best Value dispatch table. Best Value will be determined by price, experience and past performance which will all be of relative equal value. In the event of heavy fire activity, call outs could occur during the off call period if trainees are available. Activations will be to all Region 5, Forest Service Type 1 and 2 incidents when there are sufficient trainees available. The successful vendor must be either currently qualified as a Type 1 or 2 Logistics Section Chief or have been current within the last three years. Additionally the vendor must have demonstrated abilities to mentor and train Logistics section personnel in an incident environment. The NAICS Code applicable to this RFQ is 115310. The small business size is 6.5 million. The solicitation proposed issue date is May 21, 2007.
