- The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will hold a Small Business Vendor Outreach Day for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, certified HUBZone Small Businesses, and 8(a) firms on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at FDA?s facilities in Rockville, Maryland. The Outreach Fair will be from 9 AM to 1 PM. Peregistered businesses can pick up their name tags and meet other vendors beginning at 8:30. The FDA is particularly interested in meeting with small business providers of professional services, including but not limited to management analysis and support, logistical support services, construction, and architectural and engineering services. This event will NOT be staffed to discuss IT services or products. Some capacity may exist for the participation of other than the three named categories of small business. The goals for this event are to: (1) build relationships with 8(a), HUBZone, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses in order to pursue partnerships in Government contracting; and (2) provide information on contract opportunities. Due to limited capacity, only one representative from each small business may participate. This event is free, but the government will not be responsible for any other costs associated with travel or attendance.
