Description
The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) plans to procure the services of a Research Nurse to work with NIH/NICHD/SMD. The research nurse will be responsible for the coordination of clinical admissions for research protocols. This will include contact with families/patients, arranging travel, scheduling and cording subspecialty appointments, coordinating admissions/data collection/clinical samples, and initial patient evaluations. The research nurse must be able to use a computer including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs. The research nurse will be expected to give oral presentations to small groups. The work schedule is 40 hours. The actual schedule is determined by patient care needs. Typical hours would be 0800 until 1600 Monday through Friday; however, patient or research needs could dictate the need to work evenings, weekends or on holidays. The statement of work will provide more information and will be issued with the Request for Quote (RFQ). The following clause is incorporated and will remain in full force in any resultant award. FAR 52.22-41-Service Contract Act of 1965 and Wage Determination No. 05-2103 REV (02) applies to this solicitation. Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to 301-480-8501 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. The acquisition will be conducted under the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. The acquisition will be set-aside for small businesses. It is anticipated that RFQ NIH-NIDDK-07-208 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. If you have any question regarding this announcement, please contact V. Lynn Griffin via email. Lynn Griffin. FAX quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and fax number. FAX quotations will be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative. All requests for quotations must have a valid email address. PLEASE NOTE: In order to receive an award, contractor must be registered and have valid certification in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) http://www.ccr.gov .
