- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs enforcement(ICE) intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Data Comm for Business Incorporated for telecommunication equipment know as a "Channel Bank" V4200. ICE requires the equipment to interface with the current analog interface repeater Equipment to utilize a new and more reliable digital T1 channel (digital line) through emulation to provide 4/Special Facilities connectivity from point A to Point B. The basis for restricting competition is the authority of FAR 13.103(b), the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The anticipated contract date of award is May 10, 2007. The NAICS code is 334210. The "Channel Bank" V4200 is a proprietary hardware owned by for Data Comm for Business Inc. is the only company with authority to resell this equipment. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
