- This is not a solicitation, but a Notice of Contract Action. The United States Air Force (USAF), Air Force Medical Operational Agency, Surgeon General Dental (AFMOA/SGD), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Contracting Division (AFDW/A7KM), intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract to the American Dental Assistant Association (ADAA). ADAA shall provide continuing education to dental assistants through home study courses, professional journals and local, state and national meetings with educational agendas. The contractor shall encourage education, registration and certification for Air Force dental assisting professionals while providing a network of personal services for the same. Membership shall extend to national, state and local components of the ADAA. Full ADAA Membership Benefits include: Opportunities for continuing education for dental assistants through home study courses, professional journals and local, state, and national meetings with educational agendas. Membership is designed to encourage education, registration and certification for dental assisting professionals while providing a network of personal services for its members. Under the authority of USC 2304(c)(1) pursuant to FAR 6.302.1(2)(b)(1)(i), the property or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source or only from a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of property or services will satisfy the needs of the agency. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the Government. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations. Inquiries should be directed no later than, 1:00 p.m., 10 May 2007, referencing F1ATB17123A100, to Ms. Lasondia Chaney, Contract Specialist, lasondia.chaney@bolling.af.mil. The Government will review all responses, without prejudice, whether or not the Government initially determines that another firm is fully qualified to fulfill the AFMOA/SGD requirement.
