Description: Paragraph 7 under Evaluation Rules in the document entitled NETCOM Network Intrusion Prevention System (NIPS) Evaluation - Instruction for Vendors is changed in its entirety. It is as follows: 7. There shall be no changes, updates, or upgrades to the software, signatures, and equipment by the vendor after the vendors proposed solution has been delivered to the TIC. Software shall be preloaded to the extent possible prior to shipping the equipment to the TIC with the following exception. The sens or application software shall be one version off and the latest two signatures updates shall not be loaded. The latest sensor application software version and the last two signatures updates shall be provided to the TIC on a Computer Disk(s) or equivalent electronic media and shall be included as part of the vendors proposed solution for the TIC to conduct the updates as part of the evaluation criteria. All other information and schedule previously released remains unchanged.
