- Description
- Furnish all labor, equipment, transportation, and supplies, to remove and reconstruct approximately 8.5 miles of new fence with appurtenances and replace wood posts and braces on approximately 4.5 miles of existing fence. Work is located in Phillips County, Montana. Area maps will be provided with the Request for Quotations. There are eight (8) line items on the schedule; (1) Barbed Wire Fence 4-wire -- 2,720 rods; (2) Barbed Wire End Panel, Type II -- 59 each; (3) Barbed Wire Stress Panels, Type II -- 28 ea; (4) Barbed Wire Corner Panels, Type II -- 17 each; (5) Barbed Wire Gate, 4-Wire -- 37 each; (6) Set Wood Posts (Dug)r -- 5 each; (7) Drainage Crossing, Type A -- 4 each; and (8) Fence Removal -- 2,720 rods. The contractor shall have 110 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed to complete the work. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. A 100 percent payment protection will be required for contracts greater than $30,000. Payment protection will be due PRIOR to issuance of the Notice to Proceed and can be submitted by an Irrevocable Letter of Credit, Certificate of Deposit, or Payment Bond. Prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and complete their annual representations and certifications (ORCA). Lack of registration in the CCR database and ORCA will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov and for ORCA at http://orca.bpn.gov. The solicitation will be posted on or about May 18, 2007. Response date for quotes will be on or about June 18, 2007. A tentative site visit is scheduled for approximately June 4, 2007. A firm time and place will be cited in Section L of the specifications. No hard copies of the solicitation will be sent out by this office but will be available on the website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. This procurement is a total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. However, all small business concerns are encouraged to respond. If a fair and reasonable quote is NOT received by a responsible and responsive Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concern, all quotes received from small business concerns will be considered without further notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238990. Small business size standard is $13.0 million.
